Vitigno Arneis - Agricola Marrone

Arneis is a native Piedmontese grape. Its name seems to originate from its difficulty in being tamed (being an “arneis” is synonymous with being rebellious) and from its low yield.

It was on the verge of extinction but, after being replanted on the Langhe hills in the 1970s, it gradually became the symbol of the production of white wines in the area. It became so important at the Marrone winery that Gian Piero dedicated the estate’s Arneis, “Tre Fie”, to his three daughters, Denise, Serena and Valentina.
White, with good personality and finesse, and with a peculiar perfume characterised by intense fruity sensations, rich in body, with moderate acidity.
