The land where Agricola Marrone is located is formed of various soil compositions, in fact Nebbiolo vines, planted in an area of around 40 kilometres diameter, produce very different wines, such as Barolo, Barbaresco, Roero and Nebbiolo d’Alba.

The secret is in the soil: on the right side of the Tanaro river the calcareous and particularly clayey soils give structure to the wine and allow the production of excellent wines, such
as Barolo and Barbaresco; the sandy soils on the left side of the Tanaro river give more simple wines, like Nebbiolo d’Alba and Roero.
